Long-term operational stability and high-efficiency neuron stimulation are key to the development of retinal prostheses. In this research, a device with chemically inert flexible substrate is introduced, which satisfies these requirements. We have developed honeycomb-type that has high-performance electrode for suprachoroidal transretinal stimulation. The structure, in conjunctional bioceramic substrates embedded large numbers stimulating electrodes, provides high-resolution electrical custom CMOS microchip precisely controls delivery electrodes initiate artificial vision, offering partial remedy ophthalmic diseases. chip design was optimized drastically reduce number input wirings.
